Now we have a reliable griddle for teaching cooking lessons. We have multiple students who are more than capable of safely operating this grill. The skills that they will develop from using this will follow them the rest of their lifes. For years all we had was a microwave which works for some things, but its not really cooking and now we can actually teach kids how to make pancakes, or cook meat, or any other type of cooking that requires a griddle/grill. We use this to raise money for our kids so that we can do fun club activities on campus to encourage socialization between general ed and special ed students. It works out very well because we want to do practice spending the fake money in role play activities on items that are worth a lot more so the kids can practice using larger bills like 20s and 100s.
