I am writing this to share just how much your kindness means to me and my first graders. When I saw that you funded our project, I literally did a little happy dance in my classroom. Teaching six and seven year old kids is the wildest and most wonderful job in the entire world, but keeping up with all the supplies can definitely be a bit overwhelming sometimes. Your generosity has completely changed our daily routine for the better.\r\nLet me paint a picture of how things work in our room now. In first grade, we do a lot of small group learning and center rotations. This means half the class is working on language arts activities while the other half tackles math centers. Before your donation, keeping all of those centers organized was a daily struggle. Materials would get mixed up, bins would overflow, and half our time was spent just looking for the right worksheet or counting tool.\r\nNow everything has a proper home. The bins and storage supplies you bought are absolute lifesavers. They are bright and clear and sized just right for little hands. During math time, the kids can walk right over to the shelves, grab their counting bears or pattern blocks, and get straight to work. They do not need to ask me where things are anymore because everything is so well organized. The same goes for our language arts centers. The sight word cards and phonics games are neatly sorted into their own special spots. When it is time to clean up, the students actually enjoy putting things back where they belong because the system makes sense to them.\r\nYou have given these kids something even better than school supplies. You have given them independence. Seeing a little kid figure out how to grab their own materials, do their work, and clean up all by themselves is pure magic. It builds so much confidence. They feel like big kids who are totally in charge of their own learning.\r\nNone of this would have happened without you. Teachers often spend a lot of our own money on classroom supplies, so having a stranger step up and care this much about our little room feels like a massive hug. It reminds me why I love teaching. It also shows my students that there are amazing people out there in the world who want them to succeed. They know someone they have never even met cared enough to send them cool stuff for school.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, and from twenty two energetic first graders who send their biggest smiles your way, thank you for being such an awesome supporter of public education. Students use them every day to access our online curriculum, learning platforms, and educational websites.
