This project is to transform my traditional classroom into a flexible classroom! We are currently sitting at traditional desks in small groups of four. I love having my student in small groups but I hate that they only have one type of seating option. I have a lot of wonderful and wiggly kiddos. This project will provide us with the ability to sit where ever and in a manner that we please. We are excited to bring wobble stools that will engage my ADHD students but encouraging them to move around. Balance balls will allow my students to still sit at a desk but be able to move around. The back patters seats make sitting on the floor comfortable. Floor seating is something we currently love to do; however, their backs start to ache pretty quickly. These little pillows have a back support! I cannot wait to see how flexible seating will transform engagement with my fantastic fifth graders!
