Having access to a wide variety of engaging book series has already made a tremendous impact on my sixth-grade students, many of whom entered the year with limited interest in reading. By carefully curating series across multiple genres and reading levels—including titles that connect to movies and pop culture—students are finding books that truly resonate with them. For many, this is the first time they've been excited to pick up a book, and it's been inspiring to see their confidence as readers begin to grow.\r\n\r\nThe response has been overwhelming: every first book in each series has already been borrowed, and we now have waitlists for students eager to dive into the next story. Our daily 20-minute reading time has transformed into one of the most anticipated parts of the day, with students engaged, focused, and excited to share what they are reading. Having these books in the classroom has created a reading culture built on curiosity, choice, and joy. Your support has not only provided access to books but also opened the door for students to see themselves as readers and discover the lifelong value of reading.","fullyFundedDate":1748660090296,"projectUrl":"project/readers-make-leaders/9356496/","projectTitle":"Readers Make Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dehne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4815956_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1531776513490","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-dehne"},{"teacherId":5526835,"projectId":9054205,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! The smiles were enormous! Students jumped up and down with excitement as we unboxed the gliding gears set and the vertical marble run, both of which were easy to set up and included endless configurations. The kids couldn't wait to get started!\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students were given two different opportunities to explore the world of science. Using the gears, they teamed up to determine which path led the gears down the fastest. They tried different angles and distances between tracks, cheering each time their gear made it to the bottom. Another team worked on the vertical marble run, dropping dozens of balls down the chute to see which path they would take. The children laughed as they switched the pieces around, trying to find the perfect pathway for the balls. Such fun!\r\n\r\nI truly appreciate your support in giving my students the gift of STEM. They may be young, but their curiosity knows no bounds. :)","fullyFundedDate":1735532911460,"projectUrl":"project/the-gift-of-stem-for-young-children/9020566/","projectTitle":"The Gift of STEM for Young Children","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9705526_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728952169970","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9705526"},{"teacherId":3984590,"projectId":8399881,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your amazing gift!
