We communicate with others through words, gestures, facial expressions and pointing. Access to a colored printer will allow for an additional means of communication such as pictures icons that my students can use to communicate with, as well as pictures and picture books that could be printed off and shared with families to promote carry over in the home. Colorful images are always more engaging and powerful for a three, four, and five years who are eager to learn how language works. I am asking for a all in one color printer, four packs of card stock, a laminator and four packs of laminating pouches. Printing a colorful image on card stock that can be laminated (for durability) can improve my ability as a speech-language pathologist to set the foundational skills of language to help students gain access to communication and prepare them for the preschool and kindergarten curriculum.
