This project will allow my students to engage in learning functionally. Examples include creating their own story retell books, to craft projects for following directions or identifying target vocabulary. These projects not only allow the students to work on their goals, but five them something motivating and fun to complete! The hand-on activities will allow them to apply their communication goals in functional ways, and give them something to take home at the end of the day. They can also practice their skills communication skills outside of the speech room as they share what they've learned with their friends and family after sessions!
