Because of your contribution, my students now have access to high-interest, engaging novels that have transformed how many of them experience reading. These books have not only increased motivation this year, but will continue to support future groups of students for years to come. Having access to relevant, compelling texts helps students see themselves as readers, many for the first time, and encourages them to take ownership of their learning. Students feel accountable to their peers, coming prepared and ready to participate in thoughtful discussions during their book club meetings.\r\n\r\nWith these new texts, students are building essential literacy skills in a dynamic and collaborative way. They are practicing critical thinking by analyzing characters, themes, and author's craft, while also strengthening their ability to support ideas with textual evidence. Book clubs provide a structured space for students to engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and consider multiple perspectives. In our classroom, reading is interactive, student-driven, and rooted in discussion and connection. \r\n\r\nSeveral students who previously struggled to stay engaged are now among the most active participants in their groups. One student, in particular, who rarely completed independent reading assignments, now consistently comes prepared and even encourages peers to stay on track. These books are not just a one-time resource. They are an ongoing investment in student learning, confidence, and engagement. Your support will continue to make a lasting impact on many classes of students who will benefit from these texts in the years ahead.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this experience possible for my students.\r\n\r\nSincerely,","fullyFundedDate":1767213474278,"projectUrl":"project/8th-grade-book-clubs/9861973/","projectTitle":"8th Grade Book Clubs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O'Connor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9095907"},{"teacherId":10081742,"projectId":9468596,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for allowing me to create such an amazing classroom.
