The students were so excited when they first saw the new resources, and their faces lit up as they dove right in. These materials have made our centers not only more engaging, but also more purposeful. In one group, students are using the letter rods to build CVC words like \"cot\" and \"pot,\" while another group works with the same rods to practice long vowels and CVCe words. They love the hands-on nature of the activity, and it has been amazing to see them taking ownership of their learning in such a fun way.\r\n\r\nAcross the room, other groups are busy with their own exciting tasks. Students are using magnetic boards to practice encoding and decoding words, which helps them connect sounds to letters more fluently. At another table, the stamping center has become a favorite, students carefully stamp out their words and are motivated to improve their penmanship while doing so. Every corner of the classroom is buzzing with energy, focus, and creativity.\r\n\r\nThe best part is how engaged the students are. They are not just practicing skills; they are actively learning, experimenting, and having fun. These centers are giving them opportunities to apply what we've learned in whole-group lessons in a hands-on way, and it shows in their progress. Our next steps will be to continue rotating groups through these centers, building independence and strengthening foundational reading and writing skills each week.
