Incorporating math manipulatives into my instruction will help students learn by allowing them to connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so that they gain a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and apply them to the real world in various ways. I want to be able to provide my first grade students concrete hands on activities, and the opportunity to manipulate materials to develop math skills and concepts. In addition, these manipulatives will create learning experiences and activities across all math content areas, and even explore into other domains of development.

About my class
