In my classroom I have made a tree that goes up the wall with lights and decor around it. My goal is to design a reading tree corner with book and beanbags to help children feel comfortable when they explore books. I want them to be able to lounge and hang while we have whisper reading and I want the space to feel warm and inviting. I want reading to be a treat not a chore and I want to bring excitement and adventure well they read about excitement and adventure. I am striving to make my first class and classroom feel like home.
