Even though we did not reach our goal for the Nervous System Project, we were able to use the funding you donated for much needed PPE! \r\nJust today we performed the Polymerase Chain Reaction DNA Gel Electrophoresis lab in Human Body Systems Class so that we could study the PKD1 and PKD2 Genes on the Chromosomes for a parent and his two children to see if they carried the phenotype. Students made their own gels, pipetted the Restriction Enzymes and DNA and ran their gels to find that one of his children did indeed have the gene.
