These printers have transformed ideas that once only existed on paper or in our imaginations into real, tangible creations that students can design, build, test, and improve.\r\n\r\nThrough 3D printing, students had the opportunity to design and print a prototype of their assigned famous inventor. They are learning the engineering design process by identifying problems, creating solutions, using digital design tools, and refining their ideas based on results. \r\nWe have also been able to sell prints from our \"STEM shop\" to afford new robotics equipment, extra Makerspace stuff, and even funded a whole week-long activity for students. \r\nThe excitement these printers have brought to our STEM lab has been incredible. Before, we didn't have enough rhythm sticks for some of my classes, which made it difficult for every student to participate fully. Now, we have plenty, and students are able to keep a steady beat and play rhythms together as a whole class. It has made our music time much more engaging and inclusive.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw the new materials. They were especially drawn to the books—those have been a huge hit. My early finishers love having the option to read music-related books once they complete their work, and it's been a great way to keep them meaningfully engaged while reinforcing musical concepts.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to start using the books more intentionally for class collaboration, such as group discussions and shared reading activities connected to our lessons.
