I teach Gifted & Talented K-12. My fifth grade students began competing in robotics competitions last year. I need these supplies to engage my students in Coding & Robotics. I teach all K-2 students. I teach 3rd-5th grade students once a week for half a day. I work with grades 6-12 in Quiz Bowl, Chess, Destination Imagination, and computer science. Robotics and STEM products will help me in my classroom to meet the needs of these creative students through engineering, mathematics, and computer science. I spent a week this summer in a Coding/Computer Science professional Development course to be better prepared to meet the needs of my students in engineering and coding for their future. Dash the robot, Botley, Code & Go Mouse, and Sphero all use coding programs to challenge students to use computer science programming. Students must use measurement, mathematics computation, engineering to build structures, and creativity in design.
