#Meet My Students My second graders are a fun, energetic, and curious group of kids who love to learn! We are a small, rural Title I school, and I want my classroom to be a place where every student has what they need to succeed. We are excited to have Accelerated Reader (AR) back this year, which has brought an even bigger focus to reading. I truly believe that reading is one of the most important ways to build strong literacy skills. New, high-interest books will help my students grow as readers while keeping them excited about reaching their AR goals. Along with feeding their minds, growing students need food in their bellies! Having classroom snacks helps my students stay focused and energized throughout our long school days. A good book in their hands and a snack in their bellies can make a BIG difference!
