With the magnetic math manipulatives, I'm able to model problem-solving directly on the board, giving students a clear, visual representation of concepts that were once difficult to grasp. Seeing math come to life in a large, interactive way has made a huge difference in how students process and retain new skills.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, students are more engaged and eager to participate. They can physically move and manipulate numbers and shapes, which helps them make connections between abstract ideas and real understanding. This has been especially impactful for visual and hands-on learners, as well as students who need extra support to build confidence.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic tools have also strengthened whole-group instruction and collaboration. Students come to the board to demonstrate their thinking, explain their strategies, and learn from one another. This has created a more inclusive classroom environment where every student feels involved and capable.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these manipulatives have helped shift student attitudes toward math. What once felt challenging or intimidating is now interactive and approachable. Students are more willing to take risks, solve problems, and celebrate their progress.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided essential tools—it has changed the way my students experience and understand math every single day. Thank you for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1773710216905,"projectUrl":"project/math-motion-hands-on-learning-with-mani/10082783/","projectTitle":"Math-Motion: Hands-On Learning With Manipulatives and Real-World Problem Solving","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. T. Having pencils available means every student is prepared from the moment class begins—no one is stuck waiting or missing out because they don't have a basic tool. The Bluetooth speaker has made it possible for us to actually use educational videos, since our projector does not have sound. This has opened the door for more visual learning and clearer instruction, especially when introducing new concepts.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were immediate and practical. There was relief in knowing pencils would always be available, and excitement about being able to hear videos clearly for the first time. The headphones quickly became a favorite because students use them during independent work on Khan Academy, where they can watch and rewatch instructional videos at their own pace. The 3D objects sparked curiosity right away—students were eager to pick them up, examine them, and start figuring out how they connect to what we're learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students are using the 3D shapes to better understand how three-dimensional figures break down into two-dimensional nets for calculating surface area. This hands-on approach is helping concepts click in a way worksheets alone never could. With continued use of Khan Academy and headphones, students are building independence in their learning, while the speaker ensures everyone can access shared instruction together. These resources are helping remove barriers and give students more consistent access to learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1772488144130,"projectUrl":"project/enhanced-learning/9960149/","projectTitle":"Enhanced Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hopkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8380471_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721686957725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/imavhopkins"},{"teacherId":9894556,"projectId":10083020,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our project. The Expo markers have become an essential part of our daily learning. We use them for interactive lessons on the whiteboard, small group practice on lap boards, and quick formative assessments where students can write, show their answers, and receive immediate feedback. One memorable moment was during a vocabulary review game when every student eagerly held up their board to share their responses. The markers allowed all students to participate at once, boosting engagement and confidence—especially for those who are sometimes hesitant to speak up.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the fresh set of Expo markers and the snacks, they were genuinely excited and grateful. The markers may seem small, but to them, having bright, new supplies felt special and motivating. The snacks were just as meaningful. For many of my students, having a small snack during the day helps them stay focused and energized, especially in the afternoon. Their smiles and repeated \"thank yous\" showed how much your kindness meant to them.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using the markers for interactive writing activities, grammar practice, and collaborative review games that keep learning active and fun.
