Choir students can better hear harmonies, theatre students can monitor their projection, and dancers can clearly hear music while performing. Your generosity is already making a meaningful impact on my ability to better serve my students, families, and school community.\r\n\r\nI am using these lessons to improve my communication skills with Spanish-speaking students and families in our community. At my school, many families primarily speak Spanish, and I want to be able to communicate more directly, build stronger relationships, and help families feel more connected and welcomed in our music program. These resources are helping me grow professionally while also making my classroom and program more inclusive and accessible.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far has been being able to greet students and families in Spanish and understand more during conversations at concerts and school events. Even small interactions have made a big difference. I've noticed students become more comfortable and excited when they see their teacher making an effort to communicate in their language, and families have been incredibly supportive and appreciative as well.\r\n\r\nAs I continue growing as a teacher, I am excited to keep improving my bilingual communication skills so I can better collaborate with families and support students both inside and outside the classroom. I'm also looking forward to using these skills during performances, parent communication, and recruitment events to help more families feel connected to our music program.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing not only in me as an educator, but also in the relationships that help our students thrive. The impact of this Wish has been both immediate and meaningful for my AP U.S. History students and our classroom environment as a whole.\r\n\r\nThe supplies and books have already proven to be incredibly valuable resources, especially as students worked through a major research paper assignment. Several students relied on the new books to deepen their understanding of historical topics, gather stronger evidence, and strengthen the analytical arguments required in a rigorous AP-level course. Having access to these materials allowed students to engage more confidently with complex historical content and develop the critical thinking skills that are central to AP U.S. History.\r\n\r\nOne of the most noticeable transformations, however, has been the addition of the bookshelves. Before receiving them, student binders were stacked in the back of the classroom, often creating clutter and making organization difficult. The new shelves have completely changed the space by giving us an organized, visually welcoming area to store classroom materials. Students are now able to access their binders and resources more efficiently, and the classroom itself feels more structured, purposeful, and conducive to learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create an environment where students can focus, collaborate, and succeed academically. More importantly, it has shown students that there are people and organizations in the community who believe in their education and are willing to invest in their future. Having access to technology that meets them where they are has helped make learning feel more possible and less overwhelming.\r\n\r\nThe Kindle has been especially meaningful. For some students, this is the first time they've felt comfortable choosing a book on their own and actually enjoying reading. They can adjust font size, revisit words, and read at a pace that works for them. I've seen students who were once hesitant to open a book now reading quietly and proudly, eager to share what they've discovered. The MacBook has allowed me to design lessons that are clearer, more visual, and better responsive to my students' needs, helping them stay engaged and confident during instruction.\r\n\r\nWhat stands out the most is the change in how students see themselves. Students who once doubted their abilities are taking more risks, participating more, and showing up with a little more confidence each day.
