As a special service coordinator, I see many of my students struggle to find the balance between being attentive and the need to fidget. These fidgets will give my students an approved distraction when one is needed. My students will be able to choose which fidget device will allow them to release extra energy without changing the learning environment. The fidgets will allow students to remain academically engaged while meeting their need to move. The fidget devices will also support peer to peer communication because they will be available to all students in my classroom. Distractions are not a bad thing especially when they are approved by the teacher.
