We use the leveled worksheets every day as a warm up. The students are learning how to speak, read, write, and listen in English. They know exactly what to expect every time they walk in the door, which builds a sense of comfort and familiarity. They also like the surprise to see what skill we work on the next day. \r\nThe games you funded have also been used. Last week, when I told students that they could play games in groups after they finished their work, they were excited and were very motivated to finish their work. We haven't played many games because I didn't have many to choose from. These games are fun, but they also are learning games so as a teacher, I know that students are using their time effectively.\r\nAgain, thank you so much for being willing to fund this project.","fullyFundedDate":1740247562220,"projectUrl":"project/having-fun-while-learning-english/9123414/","projectTitle":"Having Fun While Learning English","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Montague","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8378668_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y355&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692307395438","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/s-montague"},{"teacherId":9850188,"projectId":8977691,"letterContent":"Your gift was the most pleasant surprise that we could have received. I can't thank you enough for your generous support of my classroom! Because of your kind hearts, my students now have access to a central hub for any and all worksheets we are using, a whiteboard shelf with mentor texts for them to read, reading pillows, and doodleboard tablets. These materials have already started making a huge difference in our daily learning and become apart of our everyday routines. It was like Christmas opening each item as they came! The students couldn't wait to start using them, and honestly, it's been a game changer. When students from other classrooms come into my room, they are eager to use the reading pillows or writing tablets.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided supplies — it's shown my students that people out there truly care about their learning and growth. I frequently tell them \"If you don't try, then you'll always get nothing\" and pointed out how I tried something I wasn't sure would work, and it paid off! I hope this inspires them to give back to others one day.\r\n\r\nThank you again for choosing to support my classroom. Not only am I a first year teacher, but I am also a young mother-- and if you even KNOW a teacher, you know we are putting our own money into the classroom. You've helped create a more joyful and engaging learning environment, and we are so grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1739373202810,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-teacher-searching-for-santa/8977691/","projectTitle":"First Year Teacher Searching for Santa","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Boillot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9850188"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49949","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":450,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":65,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":59.2,"schoolId":49949,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Robson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/mesa-public-schools/robson-elementary-school/49949"}
