My students come from a variety of backgrounds. They each have amazing personalities and come to school with the desire to learn. One of their favorite classes is physical education. Our school is one of high poverty. All students participate in the free breakfast and lunch program. For some students, these are the only balanced and nutritious meals they receive for the day. Many of my students face the challenge of being healthy and active in their lifestyle. According to our districts physical fitness data program, over 50% of my students are considered unhealthy and unfit.
