No student was left out or had to share because everyone had supplies. I was able to give everyone the notebooks, folders and pencils they needed to get started learning right away.\r\n\r\nAs a community building activity, we made a word wall, picking one word that described ourselves. Students were able to use their new crayons or markers to decorate their word and feel included. Another activity had the students going outside to make some observations about energy from the sun. During this time they were using the new clip boards. Students were super excited about the new colorful clip boards and matching with their friends. \r\n\r\nAs the year move forward we are continuing to learn many new things. The whiteboard markers are a life saver. Every year we run out by the winter break. This year I feel we are in good shape and will make it all the way through to summer. We use them every day when practicing cursive, or solving math problems.
