Using method books that are new with full intact pages and no scribbled in notes gives students a breath of fresh air to learn from. Method books in orchestra class are just like textbooks in math class or English class; you can't have a class without them. My students deserve to have clean new method books to read out of and learn from in order to excel at their instruments. They are driven and hard-working talented group who happens to be currently using dilapidated method books with missing pages. New method books will help them learn new skills, improve on skills they already have, and advance as musicians.
