The children enjoy kicking around the soccer balls and tossing the basketballs into the basketball hoop. \r\nThey are learning to share and tack turns while strengthening their large motor skills, not only with the balls, but with the hula hoops and balance blocks. Their confidence levels are growing in leaps and bounds each time they use them.\r\nEverytime we play with the bubbles the children use their fine motorskills to grab the wands, strengthen their oral motorskills, and improve their hand eye coordination. Many of my students struggle to stay attentive for long periods of time, especially during independent work or lessons that require sustained concentration. The sensory tools provided through this project gave students a productive outlet for movement, helping them channel extra energy without disrupting learning.\r\n\r\nSince introducing these tools, I have noticed students becoming more focused and engaged during lessons. The fidgets allow students to keep their hands busy while still paying attention, which helps them process information and remain on task. Students who previously had difficulty sitting still or managing frustration now have a strategy that helps them regulate their emotions and continue working.\r\n\r\nThis project also helped create a more supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Students are learning that everyone has different needs and strategies for success, and the sensory tools help normalize self-regulation in our classroom. Overall, these resources have improved student engagement, reduced distractions, and helped create a calmer learning environment where all students have a better opportunity to succeed. They eagerly opened the microscope, science slides, safety glasses, Magna-Tiles, and scenic view finders. We've been investigating nature items and insects up close under the microscope, sparking curiosity and thoughtful observations. More children are able to participate in our science experiences now that we have the new safety glasses. They are excited to explore, investigate, and feel like real scientists while staying safe.\r\nBuilding cities and roads with the Magna-Tiles has been a big hit, encouraging creativity and problem solving.
