Your contribution helped us acquire two very large raised beds that the kids help build. They had fun constructing it together filling it with dirt and planting seats. Overtime the kids have grown food that they can actually taste. This includes broccoli, cabbage, beets. Carrots, lettuce, and so much more. Our kids have also learned about taking care of things on a regular base and having patients to watch them grow. We have also talked about nutrition and the importance of eating healthy. We incorporated this into our writing and reading assignments as well as science and math. All grade levels have been enjoying being social, learning the sports and showing his sportsmanship at recess.\r\nIn my science class we have enjoyed the ecosystems games. Student had a great time creating ecosystems and trying to get the most points. It was great watching them interact and learn in a fun way.
