In the classroom, we refer to them as shakers. \r\nStudents ask to use the shakers, and they seek them out when they are feeling dysregulated.\r\n\r\nAt first, some students were hesitant to stand on the shakers and preferred to watch other students and staff use them, but over time, more and more students began to use the shakers. The vibrating plates are meant to be used as sensory support when students need it. Making the vibrating plates available to all students made them feel like they were part of our classroom rather than \"something special,\" which made them more comfortable using them. At first, everyone wanted to use them, but then the novelty wore off, and their use became more purposeful, with some students seeking input daily while others chose to use them only every now and then. \r\n\r\nThese are truly an asset to our classroom and will be loved and enjoyed for many years. They were very happy when they could pedal the bikes on their own. They asked me to take pictures to send to their families. The pencil sharpeners are excellent and have made the morning routine of sharpening our pencils so much easier. The sharpeners are sturdy and so easy to use and a cute color! All around amazing.\r\nThe I-spy book has been a great addition to our homework. I have had so many students already turn in September homework! The items that I have received have saved me so much money from not having to spend it out of pocket! The classroom scissor set has been so helpful whenever I have a project for my students and they need to use scissors. The classroom trays have been so great to have as turn in bins and any other loose papers I need to store in them! The headphones have come in handy so well because every year the students need headphones and while some students bring there own the majority of the class always needs them so I am super happy that I was able to get those donated. I also color coded them so they match the rest of there supplies! \r\nThe whiteboards were the best gift ever! Students always need whiteboards and since this was a pack of 30 I have extra in case I get more students! The markers and the erasers were all super helpful too and also prevented me from having to buy a bunch of markers. I also love that these whiteboards are double sided because in 3rd grade we use both sides a lot for various things! The last thing I got was the bulk 300 pack of pre sharpened pencils! It is every teachers dream to have that many pencils and not have to worry about constantly asking or buying pencils! Some went straight for the floor seats, others hopped on the mini bike pedals, and a few couldn't wait to bounce on the trampoline while working. One student told me, \"The pedals help me think while I write,\" and another said, \"The trampoline makes learning fun!\" These flexible seating choices have made their learning so much more engaging.\r\n\r\nThe books were just as big of a hit. Percy Jackson is already being passed around the room, and one student told me, \"I can't put this one down!\" The Geronimo Stilton series has my kids giggling during silent reading time, and the Who Is... nonfiction books have sparked a lot of curiosity—students keep asking me who we'll read about next!\r\n\r\nThe calming lamps throughout the classroom have also been a favorite, giving students a cozy, safe space to reset before jumping back into learning in the general curriculum classroom. Altogether, these resources have transformed our classroom into a more welcoming, interactive, and exciting place to learn every day.
