Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in ways that extend far beyond the books themselves. Because of your contribution, we were able to add valuable resources to our collection that would not have been possible through our regular budget. These books have opened new doors for learning, exploration, and inspiration, giving students access to ideas, stories, and knowledge that will stay with them long after they leave our classrooms.\r\n\r\nEvery donation, whether large or small, has a ripple effect. A single book can spark a student's curiosity, help them discover a passion, build confidence in their reading abilities, or provide comfort during a difficult time. The resources you helped provide are already making an impact by encouraging students to read more, think more deeply, and engage more fully with the world around them. Your support has strengthened our library as a place where students can learn, grow, and imagine what is possible.\r\n\r\nLibraries are more than shelves filled with books. They are spaces where students develop critical thinking skills, encounter diverse perspectives, and find opportunities to pursue their interests. By helping us expand our collection, you have helped create experiences that foster creativity, empathy, and lifelong learning. Many of our students may not have access to a wide variety of books outside of school, making your contribution even more significant. The materials you provided ensure that more students can find books that reflect their experiences, challenge their thinking, and inspire their dreams.\r\n\r\nI also want to personally thank you for supporting educators like me who have made it our mission to make the world a better place, one student at a time. Teaching is about more than delivering lessons; it is about creating opportunities, removing barriers, and helping young people discover their potential. Your generosity directly supports that mission by providing tools that empower students to succeed academically and personally.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students, our school, and everyone who benefits from these resources, thank you for believing in the power of education and literacy. Because of your generosity, my students have been able to have such a meaningful reading experience with books they were genuinely excited about. During the selection process, we did passage studies for each book, then they did a \"second date\" with those that caught their interest. Currently, they read 15-20 minutes a day in class, complete weekly work connected to our essential question, and meet once a week for Book Club discussions (I have been so busy listening in on their discussions, I have forgotten to snap pictures). I have already seen so much growth in the depth of their thinking since that first meeting. \r\n What has been most special is seeing how invested they are in their books and how much they connect to the characters. I have had students so excited about reading that they are leaving the book in class so they do not read too far ahead before their meeting. Some students have already asked for the sequels to Scythe and Dear Martin. I also have three Latina young ladies reading I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, who are passionately divided between identifying with Julia and Olga, and several students who are immigrants themselves, strongly connect with Raul and Ernesto in The Far Away Brothers. One student even shared that his father came to the U.S. from El Salvador, which made that story feel especially personal.\r\n As a donor, you have made this experience possible.
