In middle school, most classrooms are in rows. We see this right now all over the country. I want to give my students a place they can call home after all this is over. I want my students to walk into my room and feel comfortable in my room. I also want students to have a choice. When I was a student, I hated sitting in those uncomfortable seats. Now as a teacher, I have a standing desk and I will never go back. I know these eighth graders will enjoy many different choices. They can have a standing desk with bar stools, wobble chairs, yoga balls, floor seats with cushions. I want these students to be able to work together because I teach these students to work together on math problems. These students would benefit from this donation especially at this hard time, and when it's over, they will feel at home.
