The excitement of unpacking the boots was like Christmas. Each student recieved a pair of boots to wear out side each day.\r\n They get to take them home. This allows for the kids to have dry feet all day. This may seem like not such a big deal, but until you have had to wear wet socks all day, it determines how you are able to focus and learn. \r\n I have had students from other classrooms ask if we have any for them. Next year I will widen my circle so that all students can have this luxury. Which it is for my students. We are a native village with no road access to it. Freight is expensive, and new boots aren't easy to get. Your donations have made our school year wonderful. My students love coming into the classroom and having the ability to change out of wet, dirty shoes. I believe it makes them feel good and sets the tone for the day. \r\nClean, dry shoes are not taken for granted with my students. They are very thankful for them. Learning that they were given to them by donors that they don't even know, was hard for them to believe. My students are now aware of true kindness. Thank you for supporting our kids.
