Your generosity made a meaningful difference in my nurse's office and in the daily experiences of the students I care for.\r\n\r\nThe new recliner allowed me to finally remove an old cot and create much-needed space in my small but cozy office. The change has been enthusiastically received by staff and students. The weighted lap blankets are already getting a lot of use and are truly loved by many students. \r\n\r\nIt has also been wonderful to offer a wider variety of snacks—including gluten-free and nut/peanut-free options—so every student has something safe and comforting available when they need it.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I've been able to reach my goal of ensuring each student feels safe, seen, and supported—both physically and emotionally.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping me create and maintain a calming, caring, and sensory-friendly environment for my students, this year and for many years to come. Your kindness has brought meaningful and immediate positive change to both my students and me.\r\n\r\nThe new tables have transformed the way students collaborate and learn. They now have comfortable, structured spaces to work together, share ideas, and engage more confidently in group activities. The bookshelf has helped create a welcoming and organized reading corner. Students are constantly drawn to it, excited to explore books that are now easy to see and reach. And the book you provided has already sparked curiosity, conversation, and joy in our classroom. It has become a tool for learning, imagination, and connection.\r\n\r\nFor me, as a teacher, your support has been deeply encouraging. These items have not only improved our classroom environment, but they've also renewed my excitement and energy each day. The lap desks, floor tables, and stools have given students the freedom to choose how and where they learn best. One of the first projects we launched with our new setup was the literacy centers, where students worked in small groups to participate in lessons, thereby fostering their acquisition of language and literacy skills. The variety of seating options allowed students to spread out comfortably, collaborate closely, and engage in hands-on activities without feeling confined to traditional desks.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. Many of them shouted with excitement, eager to try every new option, and quickly established favorites. Some loved sitting at the floor tables to work together on art projects, while others preferred lap desks to write and sketch their observations during science lessons. It was heartwarming to see even my more reserved students come out of their shells, simply because they had the freedom to choose a space that made them feel comfortable and empowered.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generosity of our donors, our classroom feels more like a collaborative workshop. The flexible seating will continue to be an essential part of this process, giving students a supportive environment where they can research, discuss, and create together.\r\n\r\nIn the future, we also plan to incorporate more STEAM-focused projects that align with student interests. With the new seating, students have the space and tools to imagine and build models of space stations, design solutions to real-world problems, or create art inspired by nature. This flexibility not only nurtures their curiosity but also fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
