One memorable moment was watching students use counters to solve problems together, then celebrate when they got the correct answer—it turned learning into a game they were excited to play.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new games, they were thrilled! The familiar and playful elements sparked immediate interest, and even students who sometimes feel unsure about math were eager to join in. Laughter and excitement quickly filled the room as they learned through play.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue building on these skills by using the games to reinforce problem-solving and introduce early strategy. Your generosity has helped bring this important topic to life in a way that is engaging, hands-on, and meaningful for my young learners. We have been using the new resources to explore symbols like the American flag, the Bald Eagle, and the Statue of Liberty through art, reading, and discussion. One special moment was when students created their own paper flags using the materials you provided—carefully placing each star and stripe while proudly sharing what they had learned about what the flag represents. It was a wonderful blend of creativity and understanding.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. Their eyes lit up as they explored the supplies, and they couldn't wait to get started. Many students were eager to share what they already knew, while others were inspired to ask thoughtful questions. The materials made learning feel like an exciting experience rather than just a lesson, and every student was eager to participate.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our unit, students will be working on a culminating project where they will choose an American symbol to research and create a small presentation. They will use art, writing, and speaking skills to share what they have learned with their classmates. Thanks to your support, my students are not only learning about important national symbols, but they are also building confidence, creativity, and a deeper connection to their learning. Your donations have already made a meaningful impact on how my students engage with learning each day. We've been using the new art supplies across subjects, from illustrating scenes in reading to building visual models in science. One especially memorable moment was during a recent project where students designed their own diaramas. With access to vibrant materials, they created detailed, layered artwork that reflected not only creativity but a deep understanding of arctic life. It was incredible to see their ideas come to life in such a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. There were gasps, huge smiles, and so many eager questions about when they could start creating. For many of them, having access to high-quality, varied supplies felt special and inspiring. Even students who are usually hesitant to participate became fully engaged, diving into projects with confidence and pride. The creation station has quickly become a favorite part of our classroom, where imagination and learning truly meet.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will continue using these materials as they work on a collaborative storytelling project. They'll be writing original stories and then bringing them to life through illustrations, storyboards, and mixed-media presentations. This next step will allow them to deepen both their literacy skills and creative expression. Thanks to your support, they're not only learning content—they're discovering new ways to communicate, explore, and believe in their own ideas. They thought that was the coolest thing ever, and I agree!\r\nWe first opened the table toys, which were the marble mazes and the little magnetic building blocks. We've been enjoying the use of those after our seatwork is finished. Next we opened the camping set and that got a big reaction! They were so excited to see all the cute accessories, like the s'mores and the binoculars that really work! So far we have been just having fun with these toys, including the little tent. They were even excited about the bubble wrap that everything came in, and we spent some time popping the bubbles ( a great fine motor activity!).\r\nA few days later we got the trampoline! I decided to build it during free choice time in our resource room, and the kids were super interested in trying to guess what it could be.
