Legos provide an opportunity for students to use their fine motor skills, which will improve the more they interact with tiny things, like Legos. By using their great hand-eye coordination, they will be able to have better judgment about how their body interacts with the world. Legos also create many different types of play. The sets that I am requesting, more specifically the people, help children to "become" many different types of people through dramatic play. The set of Lego people is very diverse and inclusive, which is also a statement I am trying to make known in my classroom.
