We have 3D printers, a laser cutter, and a circut to design and cut materials. The tools allow us to put together our projects and fix the devices in our makerspace too! I loved that some of the students wanted to help me use the screwdrivers to put together our circuit cart. They used the pliers to help take off the 3D printer support and clean up their 3D printed designs. They used the sandpaper to also clean up their laser cut designs and 3D printed designs too. I've even had other colleauges borrow our tools to use across the school too! My students are very creative and it's so neat to see them create their own artwork on the cricut. \r\n\r\nSince getting the materials the students in grades three to six have created their own name vinyl stickers. They had to design the font, style, color and then use the cricut software to cut, peel, and transfer one of the names to their laptops (because they keep peeling off the labels the teachers make for them). The other name sticker will go on water bottles that they will get as an incentive for doing their best testing in the Spring.
