My students have enjoyed using the light table for many different areas of learning, including letter recognition and word building, numbers and math sentences, and social emotional support. My students also have enjoyed the creative side of building, stacking and counting all the manipulatives that were provided by the project.. \r\n Let me give you a little more detail about the social emotional support. The soothing glow of the light and kinesthetic aspects ( smooth, curved, straight edges) of the translucent pieces compliment other pieces I already purchased with my original light table. It helps my students who are feeling sad because their parent is in the and they are deployed and also help students who are struggling with some family issues.. They can ask for a break or I can suggest them to take a break if I see that with the days activities. \r\n I also use it as a small center for some of the students for either math or language arts. You will see in the pictures how the students are using some of the manipulatives that were included.
