Some of my students were surprised that they actually got a new recorder, and I could tell that it truly brightened their day to know that someone cared enough about their musical education to purchase them instruments. \r\n\r\nMy students have already started playing their recorders and are learning how to play the foundational pitches of \"B\", \"A\", and \"G.\" Over the next few weeks, they will become more comfortable holding their recorders in the correct position with the right posture and fingering, they will play songs with accompaniment using our Quaver curriculum, and they will learn simple songs such as \"Mary Had a Little Lamb\" to boost their confidence.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, my students do not have to just use their hands anymore to play their bucket drums. Now they will use the drumsticks that you purchased, which adds a special layer of engagement and fun to music class. \r\n\r\nYour generous contribution has planted seeds of hope and joy in my students lives that they will never forget. My students were happy and shocked to see all of the paper you purchased when I put it all on the table for them to see.\r\n\r\nThe first project my students used the paper for was to honor and celebrate our veterans for Veteran's Day that is approaching. My students wrote what they are thankful for and drew pictures illustrating their sentences. We are learning about patriotic songs and how to honor veterans with songs such as \"The Star Spangled Banner/National Anthem.\" Your paper donation made all the difference in me implementing that part of the lesson plan.\r\n\r\nHaving so many students (approximately 500) requires me to be frugal and wise with my resources. Yet, now I can add so many more exciting activities to class to enable my students to truly see musical concepts on paper and give them a chance to practice what they are learning in a much quicker and simpler way. Our next project will be learning about the treble clef and creating our own acronyms to remember the lines and spaces of the staff with fun mini-games that aid in remembering the lines and spaces.\r\n\r\nWe don't take it lightly that you helped us in our time of need.
