My students wore them for a professional photo shoot this year, and having something beautiful and high-quality to dance in made them feel powerful, and produced incredible photos and moments. \r\n\r\nWe have also been using the games and activity cards in ways that support both skill-building and classroom community. During rehearsals, I'm able to work more closely with students who need focused guidance, while others who are ready to move forward can work independently with the stretching, conditioning, or choreography cards. This has made class time more personalized and productive. And on days when students need a little less structured work and connection, they love pulling out \"Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza\" to communicate, laugh, and reset together.\r\n\r\nRight now, my students are preparing choreography for an upcoming performance, and these resources are helping them take more ownership of their learning. The structure provided by the cards, along with the confidence they feel in their new leotards, and biker shorts, is empowering them to create, collaborate, and push themselves artistically. I can't wait to see how their hard work comes together onstage—and your generosity has played a huge part in making that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1754851236360,"projectUrl":"project/dressed-to-move-ready-to-groove/9561161/","projectTitle":"Dressed to Move, Ready to Groove","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hague","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9657183_orig.jpg?crop=827,827,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723606281464","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9657183"},{"teacherId":9657183,"projectId":9540245,"letterContent":"The parachute has been such an amazing tool for building connections in my classroom. My students love gathering underneath it to chat, reflect, and bond. Something about being under the parachute helps them open up in a special way. We've also incorporated it into class warm-ups and team-building games, which has added so much joy and variety to our routine. It has truly helped create a sense of community in our dance room.\r\n\r\nThe JBL speaker and power strip have become everyday essentials. My students use the speaker daily as they rehearse choreography, run warm-ups, and explore different movement styles. Having a reliable charging station keeps us organized and ensures that music is always ready to go, especially as students have been working so hard on their routines this semester. They can't wait to share their choreography with their families at our upcoming performance, and these tools have made preparation so much smoother.\r\n\r\nThe washable markers have brought a fun, creative energy into our classroom. While learning about the history of hip hop dance and culture, students created their own positive graffiti artwork, which now decorates our dance room and showcases their personalities. We also used the markers to write thank-you notes to our custodians, helping students practice gratitude and community awareness. These resources have inspired both creativity and kindness, and we are so grateful for the impact they've had.","fullyFundedDate":1754666933271,"projectUrl":"project/move-create-collaborate/9540245/","projectTitle":"Move, Create & Collaborate","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hague","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9657183_orig.jpg?crop=827,827,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723606281464","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9657183"},{"teacherId":9657183,"projectId":9173766,"letterContent":"The ability to split my classes into smaller groups and allow each group to hear their music while dancing has been incredible. I use the speakers almost every day, and they have completely transformed the way I'm able to teach. My students get so excited when they can collaborate with their peers in smaller groups—it makes learning feel fun, active, and engaging.\r\n\r\nHaving this technology has also allowed me to provide more personalized feedback and give students the individual attention they need. With classes of over 30 students, this can be a challenge, but the speakers make it possible for every student to be actively participating rather than waiting for their turn. This not only keeps students engaged but also helps them grow in confidence as dancers.\r\n\r\nWhat excites me most is how much creativity and collaboration I see happening in my classroom every day. Students are developing important 21st-century skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving while creating and rehearsing their dance projects. None of this would be possible without your generosity. Thank you so much for supporting my students and helping bring their learning to life!","fullyFundedDate":1742160647515,"projectUrl":"project/turn-up-the-volume/9173766/","projectTitle":"Turn Up the Volume","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hague","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9657183_orig.jpg?crop=827,827,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723606281464","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9657183"},{"teacherId":8298326,"projectId":8710860,"letterContent":"On behalf of my 9th grade Food and Nutrition 1 students, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation of heart-shaped waffle makers. When my students first saw that the waffle irons created heart-shaped waffles, their faces lit up with excitement and joy. They couldn't wait to put them to use, and the energy in the room was contagious as they eagerly mixed their batter, poured it into the irons, and watched their creations take shape. The best part, of course, was getting to enjoy the delicious waffles they had made, and they took great pride in both the process and the final product.\r\n\r\nBeyond the fun and excitement, these new waffle makers have had a meaningful impact on our classroom. They have provided my students with hands-on learning opportunities, reinforcing key cooking skills, teamwork, and creativity. One of the highlights so far has been making heart-shaped gingerbread waffles, which allowed us to explore flavor combinations, discuss the science behind baking, and practice precision in measurements and timing. These engaging experiences make learning more memorable and inspire students to take ownership of their culinary skills.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the excitement around these waffle makers will continue to grow as we approach our end-of-semester Iron Chef Competition. Some groups are already brainstorming ways to incorporate the waffle irons into their final dishes, adding an extra layer of creativity and challenge to the competition. Your generosity has not only enhanced our curriculum but has also given my students a fun and innovative way to express themselves in the kitchen. Your contribution of novels, art supplies, sanitation materials, and replenishment of basic essentials has made an incredible impact on both the learning environment and the well-being of our seventh-grade students. The new books have sparked excitement and curiosity, helping to foster a love of reading that will last well beyond this school year. The students now have a greater variety of literary works to explore, enhancing their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in ways we couldn't have achieved without your support.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the books, the art supplies have given our students the opportunity to express themselves creatively and build confidence in their artistic abilities. These supplies, which are often limited in our budget, have allowed for more hands-on projects and have inspired many of the students to embrace their talents. Your donation has not only enriched our lessons but has also provided a positive outlet for their emotions and imaginations.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the sanitation supplies and replenishment of basic essentials have been vital in maintaining a safe and comfortable classroom environment. With the ongoing challenges of maintaining cleanliness and safety, especially during the colder months, your thoughtful gesture has ensured that we can continue to prioritize the health and well-being of our students. It's these simple yet essential items that often go unnoticed but have made a world of difference in keeping the classroom running smoothly. On behalf of all of us, thank you for making such a significant impact on our educational community.
