The kitchen supplies we are requesting will be used daily in cooking classes to help students learn in so many ways. Labs are structured to provide opportunities for students to learn higher social skills. They collaborate with others to create something all members of the group can be proud of. Communication is key in spreading the workload and staying on task to finish all aspects of the food preparation and clean-up. Teens in Food and Nutrition classes learn lifelong skills while incorporating math skills such as counting, measuring, weighing, and tracking time. The equipment and supplies we are currently using do not work for what they are intended. The supplies provided by schools need to be high quality as they are constantly used. Students' chances of success are greater when the equipment is safe and well maintained. We appreciate all you are doing to help us!
