My students gasped as we unpacked the wobble chair, personal whiteboards, and vibrant dry erase markers. The wobble chair was an instant hit, especially for a few students who typically struggle to stay seated during independent work. Seeing their faces light up as they tested out the chair and tested the new markers on crisp, clean whiteboards set a tone of excitement, value, and gratitude right from day one.\r\n\r\nThese resources have completely transformed our daily routines and instructional time. During math, for example, students take turns to try the wobble chair into small groups and use the individual whiteboards for rapid-fire problem-solving. In a recent lesson on multi-step word problems, students used different colored dry erase markers to map out their thinking, draw visual models, and show their work. The wobble chair allowed continuous, subtle movement that kept everyone focused, while the whiteboards turned what could have been a intimidating assignment into an engaging, low-pressure game where mistakes were easily erased and rewritten.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are using these new tools to kick off an interactive collaborative writing and peer-editing project. Students will draft creative story outlines on their whiteboards and rotate around the room on their wobble chair to leave constructive feedback and brainstorming ideas on each other's boards. My students have been so excited to use the new roll up pianos and headphones as part of our daily lessons. We use them on the floor as a learning station where up to six students at a time can practice while others are engaged in different activities. It was wonderful to see such immediate engagement and joy.\r\n\r\nAs we continue, students will use the pianos to build their skills in reading simple notation, practicing rhythms, and performing short pieces.
