Your donation funded a book cart and book containers. I began using the book cart as soon as it arrived. Previously, I kept some of the library's book collection in large containers in the back of the library. I would carry each one up to the front of the library for kindergarten and first grade classes so they could \"shop\" for books that were age appropriate. However, not only was this a time consuming task, but the younger students had a hard time going through the bins to find their books for the week. The cart allows me to easily move books around for these classes. The books themselves are much more organized and I am able to divide them up better for students such as having a section for nonfiction books. Students are having a much easier time finding books they enjoy. \r\n\r\nThe book bins have already helped me organize areas of the library's nonfiction collection. Previously, the library nonfiction shelves were very crammed with books and students struggled to find what topic they were looking for. Having these bins has made it easier to group books with similar topics and also break up the shelves a bit so the collection is more organized. I have also used these bins to hold series of fiction books. I have noticed that students are having a much easier time finding their favorite series and are actually taking the time to explore the nonfiction section now. I will continue to update and organize the library collection with these bins.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support! The students and myself greatly appreciate it.","fullyFundedDate":1727056947961,"projectUrl":"project/this-one-is-for-the-studentsand-the-bo/8774978/","projectTitle":"This One Is for the Students..and the Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9746628_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726276396730","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9746628"},{"teacherId":7767101,"projectId":8812703,"letterContent":"Pre-K students are absolutely loving the new building material resources in their classroom. Art class has become a highlight of their day, with the students showing immense joy as they explore their creativity with the new supplies. The positive energy and excitement are palpable, and it's clear that these resources are not only enhancing their skills but also contributing to their overall happiness and confidence.\r\nThe Pre-K students were thrilled to see the new and different toys introduced in their classroom. Their faces lit up with excitement as they discovered an array of fresh manipulatives to explore. From colorful blocks to textured shapes, the students eagerly engaged with the new materials, experimenting with different ways to play and create. These hands-on tools allowed them to expand their imagination, while also helping to develop critical skills like problem-solving, spatial awareness, and fine motor control.
