Color helps students better understand and remember information, especially when working with maps, charts, graphs, and visual organizers. It also supports putting information in our interactive notebooks. Instead of having students draw the anchor charts I am able to print a copy for them to put on the book. This also helps us stay focused and more instructional time given. A colored printer allows teachers to create more engaging instructional materials. It allows me to have colorful bulletin boards, appealing newsletters, end of each quarter award certificates, memorable ornaments or activities for students to create for parents.
