We use IXL regularly to reinforce the skills we are learning in class and give students additional opportunities to practice at their own level. The immediate feedback helps students recognize mistakes, make corrections, and continue working toward mastery without having to wait for teacher feedback.\r\n\r\nIXL has also given me valuable information about my students' understanding. I can quickly see which skills students have mastered, identify common misconceptions, and determine who may need additional support or enrichment. This has allowed me to make my small-group instruction and reteaching much more targeted and purposeful.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, IXL has helped my students take greater ownership of their learning. They enjoy watching their SmartScores increase and feel a real sense of accomplishment when they reach our goal of an 85 or higher. With more than 80 students rotating through my classroom each day, having a designated space for every student has given them a consistent place to keep their math materials. Students can quickly grab what they need when they enter the room and put everything away before they leave, which has made our transitions much smoother and helped us maximize our instructional time.\r\n\r\nThe biggest impact, though, has been the independence it has created. Students are responsible for keeping their own materials organized and no longer have to dig through backpacks, desks, or stacks of papers to find what they need. Something as simple as having a designated space for their materials has helped our classroom feel more organized, efficient, and ready for learning each day. Because of your generosity, my students have been able to experience what it truly means to celebrate one another and be part of a positive, connected school community.\r\n\r\nThe instant camera has become such a powerful tool in our classroom. While many people think of technology as something used strictly for academics, this project has shown how it can also support social-emotional learning in meaningful ways. Students are using the camera to capture real moments of kindness, teamwork, and encouragement happening throughout our school.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful parts of this project has been the opportunity to highlight teachers and staff, while also involving families in the process. Each week, parents are able to nominate a teacher or staff member to be recognized. Students then help celebrate those individuals by capturing photos and sharing their impact. This has created a meaningful connection between home and school, allowing students to see how appreciation and gratitude extend beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for my students is the joy that comes from recognizing others. They love being able to document these moments and share them, and it has created a ripple effect of positivity.
