Instead of simply reading about concepts in a textbook, students are able to actively explore, create, collaborate, and problem-solve using digital tools that make learning more engaging and interactive. Whether they are researching, practicing skills through educational programs, creating presentations, or working together on projects, technology helps students become more independent and confident learners. It also allows teachers to personalize instruction so students can learn at their own pace and receive immediate feedback.\r\nWhat excites students most about this new technology is that it makes learning feel relevant and hands-on. Many students light up when they realize they can create something themselves—whether it's a digital project, interactive assignment, or collaborative activity with classmates. The technology has increased participation, especially among students who may have struggled to stay engaged with traditional instruction. Students are eager to use the devices and often show greater focus, motivation, and pride in their work.\r\nSome of the most meaningful growth has come from students who were previously hesitant to participate in class or lacked confidence academically. We have seen quieter students become more willing to share ideas through digital platforms, and students who struggle with traditional paper-and-pencil tasks are finding new ways to succeed. For several students, the technology has opened opportunities to learn in ways that better match their strengths, helping them feel capable, included, and excited about school again. Your support is giving our students access to tools that not only strengthen academic skills, but also prepare them for the technology-driven world they will enter in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1763474859121,"projectUrl":"project/leveling-up-learning-with-classroom-tech/9508654/","projectTitle":"Leveling Up Learning With Classroom Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bautista","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10097700_orig.jpg?crop=1200,1200,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753739060351","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10097700"},{"teacherId":8355773,"projectId":9951541,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity, my 7th grade students now have access to essential feminine hygiene products in our classroom, and the impact has been immediate and meaningful. These resources are being used daily in a discreet, respectful way that allows students to take care of their needs without missing instruction time or feeling embarrassed. Student have not misused them and were very respectful and have put them in their backpacks and small bags to use as they please. \r\n\r\nOne powerful moment stood out: shortly after introducing the supplies, a student quietly approached me and said, \"Thank you... I didn't have anything today.\" Instead of asking to leave class or feeling uncomfortable, she was able to stay, participate, and focus on her learning. Moments like this remind me how critical it is to meet students' basic needs so they can succeed academically. While this may not be true of all students. This year many of my students have had personal needs ranging from food, hygiene and more this project is an every year concern. \r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions ranged from relief to gratitude. Many expressed appreciation that the classroom is a safe, supportive space where their needs are understood. We have signs that tell students it is a safe environment and this is evidence of the message we display. \r\n\r\nIt also opened the door for respectful, age-appropriate conversations about health, hygiene, and self-care—topics that are often overlooked but incredibly important at this stage of development. While we do have sexual education we often do not have or cannot provide the material because we lack it. Our school does everything to support student needs but we do run out of essential materials that are basic needs. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue to normalize conversations around personal health and responsibility while maintaining student dignity and privacy. These resources will support ongoing health education lessons and help ensure that no student misses valuable learning time due to lack of access to basic necessities.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create a more equitable, compassionate classroom environment where all students can feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn.
