Instead of papers getting lost or stuffed into backpacks, students are learning how to maintain an organized science portfolio that they can refer back to throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first received their binders, they were excited to have something that was specifically theirs for science class. We spent time setting up sections by unit and discussing how organization is an important skill not only for school, but also for their future education and careers. My Anatomy & Physiology students especially appreciate having all of their materials together as they work through increasingly challenging topics involving the human body.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building these portfolios throughout the year. Students will add their notes, laboratory activities, graphs, CER responses, assessments, and unit reflections.
