They love to move around the room when they are working independently, working in a group, or taking a test. This gives my students a chance to get out of their seats and move around the room and get comfortable while they work. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw me unpacking all of the comfy chairs they were so excited! I explained to them that we were generously given these extra comfy spots so that everyone can have a chance to move around the room. They love to be able to choose from a variety of seats...and this is all possible because of you! \r\n\r\nI plan to continue to use the comfy furniture as long as I can. I encourage my students to take good care of these materials so that they last year after year. The My First Ticonderoga Pencils are thick and triangular in shape, helping little ones establish a proper pencil grip. The kids use the dry erase supplies daily for word dictations during ELA.\r\n\r\nThe Primary Journals are especially helpful to reinforce the writing process.\r\nThe children love to write and draw in them. We often use them as interactive notebooks as well. I use it to put their checked papers, tests, homework, flyers, and any other important papers that are to go home. The kids come to their mailboxes at the end of everyday to collect their papers to put in their folders to go home. \r\n\r\nThe students were so happy we got a new mail system. Our previous one was made of cardboard and often needed repaired. They were curious what it was as I was building it in front of them during recess. They were excited to start using it.\r\n\r\nThis luckily gets used everyday by students. I'm lucky that I can use it as paper storage as well. There are extra slots so that I can store papers that I use throughout the year and colored printer paper.
