As the students have been reading the various books we are practicing important concepts such as focusing on the author's purpose of writing the book. \r\n\r\nWe also practice summarizing each book in small groups. The students take turns reading the books in Spanish and English and then they share all of these ideas with each other. This provides an opportunity for every student to participate in the classroom no matter which language they speak.
