This year was the first year where we've structured our practices in a way where students get to do strength training at least one time a week. Although they're not GPS watches, the wristwatches with a stopwatch function are still very helpful. They can time how long it takes them to run one lap during our long run course so they can check their pace and level of consistency. Our runners also use timing when they're doing speed training, especially when they're doing goal pace work.
