Structured literacy centers will provide a supportive environment where students can thrive while practicing phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in meaningful, hands-on ways. With leveled readers, adapted books, and engaging games, every child will have access to success at their own level, eliminating barriers and celebrating progress. Tools like sentence-building kits will further strengthen language and communication skills that extend well beyond the classroom. By making learning accessible, motivating, and fun, this project lays the foundation for lifelong confidence and achievement in reading. They immediately started spelling their names and creating small words. One student, who often struggles with paper-and-pencil tasks, spent the entire literacy block confidently building words on his board. The reusable nature of these boards has been a game-changer, allowing them to practice letter formation and writing without the pressure of making a mistake on paper.\r\n\r\nThe Play-Doh has been an absolute hit as well, especially with our early finishers. It's become a quiet and calming station in the corner of the room where students can decompress while building their fine motor skills. Last week, we used the Play-Doh to practice making letters and numbers, and it transformed what could be a repetitive activity into a fun, hands-on experience. The students love molding and shaping the material, and I can already see improvements in their hand strength and dexterity.\r\n\r\nThe card stock and laminating pouches have empowered my students to create artwork they can truly be proud of. We recently completed a painting project where each student painted a self-portrait. Using the sturdy card stock meant the paint didn't bleed through and their creations held up beautifully. The best part was laminating the final pieces. The students' faces lit up as they saw their work protected and looking professional. They proudly carried their self-portraits home, knowing their artwork was safe and would last.\r\n\r\nOur next big project will be combining all these new resources. We'll use the magnetic whiteboards to draft and revise sentences about our favorite animals. Then, we'll use the card stock and paint to create artistic representations of those animals. Finally, we'll laminate their finished work, making a wonderful \"Animal Facts\" book that each student can take home at the end of the year.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has made a tangible difference in our classroom.
