I have a student whose wheelchair is no longer safe for use at school. The student does not have a wheelchair for home use yet as the insurance company has not approved the request and now the brake system is not working on the school wheelchair. My project is simple. I want to collect donations and purchase a new chair for the queen of the classroom to use both at home and at school. This will drastically change her home life and the entire family's life. Learning does not only take place at school and my student will be able to go out in the community with their family if they have a wheelchair at home. Additionally, it is vital that they have a properly working wheelchair at school.

About my class
