As an SLP, providing engaging materials in group therapy is essential to captivate my students and scaffold their learning to meet their speech and language needs. Preparing virtual speech therapy sessions for 70+ students from ages 4 to 12 can be overwhelming, to say the least. Many of the materials used on-campus are not adaptable or appropriate for distance learning. Teachers Pay Teachers is a gold mine for resources created by teachers for teachers, especially during distance learning! This network of sharing materials created by teachers with expertise in specific areas is a terrific time saver! Thematic planning engages and supports my diverse learners. Purchasing quality materials designed for distance learning relating to the weekly theme frees up time for me to complete many of the other tasks that are involved in my position, such as parent communication, assessment, and IEP commitments. The TpT platform is a dream come true!
