We have gotten off to a great start with the glue sticks, whiteboard markers, and cleaning wipes that you sent. \r\n\r\nThe students consistently comment on how fun it is that I have a variety of markers and colors to write with. They haven't quite realized that I am a very visual person, so the variety of colors helps differentiate the notes that they are taking and the words that they are seeing. Last week, we practiced writing sentences on the whiteboard, and each student used a color of their choice, but I made the corrections with a bright pink marker. They were able to have some \"fun\" with their color selections, but they were also able to easily see the fixes that needed to be made. They love the new colorful gator balls and the excitement around the new equipment is noticeable.\r\nThe students have been developing their basic object manipulation skills which include throwing, catching and kicking. The sixth grade students have a unit titled \"Create-a-Game\" where they work in small groups to develop a new game. These balls have allowed the students to share their game with the entire class and in some cases they voted on which game they would like to play as a whole class.
