Developmentally, 6th and 7th grades have a lot of energy and love to be active! And while I do best to incorporate different activities in my classes. For many students, sitting in desks all day can be draining. Standing desks allow students to both learn and be active at the same time! Additionally, in my larger classes, standing desks make it easier for students to see me and for me to see them. I've been lucky to share classrooms in previous years with teachers who have standing desks and I have seen firsthand how it helps students learn in a way that is most comfortable and motivating for them. Any support for my students to have this option is greatly appreciated!
