The large rug gives us a comfortable and inviting space where students can gather for whole-group lessons, read-alouds, morning meetings, and classroom discussions. The bookshelf has also helped us create a more organized and accessible classroom library, allowing students to easily choose books that interest them and explore reading independently.\r\n\r\nThe marble run has been an absolute hit with our students! We introduced it as one of our STEM activities, and the students immediately became excited about building, testing, and figuring out how to make the marbles travel through the different pieces. They love working together, solving problems, and trying again when their designs don't work the first time. Our students now look forward to **Fun Friday** every week because they know they will have an opportunity to participate in fun, hands-on learning activities like the marble run.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they first saw the new materials! They immediately noticed the new rug and bookshelf and wanted to explore everything. The rug quickly became our special gathering space, and the students were especially excited to see all of the books organized and ready for them to read.\r\n\r\nThe marble run was probably one of the biggest hits! The students were eager to start building and couldn't wait to see if their designs would work. Their excitement and curiosity turned a simple STEM activity into an opportunity to practice problem-solving, teamwork, persistence, and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences throughout the school year. We will continue using our rug for interactive read-alouds, phonics activities, vocabulary discussions, and sharing our thinking with classmates. Students will also continue using our classroom library to develop independence and build a love of reading.\r\n\r\nWe will continue incorporating STEM activities, including the marble run, into our **Fun Friday** routine. Our students look forward to Fridays because they know they will have opportunities to explore, create, build, and learn through hands-on activities. These experiences allow our kindergarteners to practice important skills while having fun and learning from one another.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful to our donors for helping make our classroom a welcoming, engaging, and exciting place to learn. These resources have given our students spaces to read, collaborate, create, problem-solve, and simply enjoy being learners.
